Yandel Sinfónico Opens U.S. Leg With Two Sold-Out Nights in California, Here's Where PNW Fans Can Catch It

Reggaetón with a full orchestra behind it. That's the idea behind YANDEL SINFÓNICO, and the U.S. leg just got off to a strong start. The Puerto Rican icon opened the third leg of the tour with back-to-back sold-out shows at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on September 25 and SAP Center in San Jose on September 27.

Not Your Typical Reggaetón Show

Yandel has spent close to three decades shaping reggaetón, first as half of Wisin & Yandel and then as a solo star. With SINFÓNICO, he isn't just running through the hits. He's rebuilding them. More than 50 musicians share the stage, and the orchestral arrangements give records like "Rakata" and "Encantadora" a new scale while keeping the perreo energy that made them classics.

The most interesting part may be how the orchestra comes together. Yandel doesn't tour with the same ensemble. He builds a new one in every city from local musicians, so each show has its own identity. In Los Angeles, Maestro Javier Mendoza conducted the Synesthesia Sinfonietta of Los Angeles. In San Jose, Mendoza led an orchestra assembled from local players.

The Setlist and the Moments

The California shows covered his whole career, including "Encantadora," "Si no le contesto," "Mayor Que Yo," "Abusadora" and "Rakata." Each city also got its own moment:

  • Los Angeles: Yandel brought out his brother, Gadiel Veguilla, for a special performance of "La Pared."

  • San Jose: Yandel rose above the stage on a circular platform, framed by the production's sweeping visuals.

The live album from this project, SINFÓNICO (En Vivo), earned a 2026 GRAMMY nomination for Best Música Urbana Album. That's proof the format is more than a novelty.

New Music, Too

Yandel isn't only looking back:

  • "Cuál Es La Necesidad": his latest single, developed in London and recorded partly at Studio One at Abbey Road.

  • "PENXAMIENTOS DE MADRUGADA": a reunion with Feid that closes EL GREEN PRINT: La Saga (Disc 2) – EL CLUB DE LAS 19 FLORES. It follows their global hit "Yandel 150."

What About Seattle?

Seattle isn't on the announced U.S. leg. The closest options for PNW fans are on the West Coast and at one of the most famous venues in the country:

📍 Yandel Sinfónico: Remaining U.S. Dates

  • Fri, Oct. 9: Laredo, TX, Sames Auto Arena

  • Sat, Oct. 10: Houston, TX, Toyota Center

  • Fri, Oct. 16: Hidalgo, TX, Payne Arena

  • Sun, Oct. 18: El Paso, TX, UTEP Don Haskins Center

  • Thu, Oct. 29: Las Vegas, NV, PH Live at Planet Hollywood

  • Fri, Oct. 30: San Diego, CA, Viejas Arena

  • Sun, Nov. 1: Morrison, CO, Red Rocks Amphitheatre

The Red Rocks show closes the U.S. leg. Few venues suit an orchestral production like an open-air amphitheater built into the rocks, so if you've been looking for an excuse to make that trip, this is it.

After that, SINFÓNICO returns to Madrid for three shows (Nov. 9, 13 and 14), then plays four cities in Mexico (Puebla, Cancún, Mexico City and Monterrey) from Nov. 27 to 30.

Why It Matters

For a lot of us in the PNW, Yandel's music has been the soundtrack to quinceañeras, carne asadas and every school dance that played reggaetón. SINFÓNICO shows that those songs can grow up with their audience and still get people moving. We'll be watching closely for a Seattle stop if the tour adds more dates.
